Sunday Go to Meeting

We split our time between the Assemblies of God in Fort Myers and First Baptist in Naples with no particular pre planned regularity or sense of fairness or equality. Our neighbor, Gordon, plays piano at First Baptist and he is an incredible pianist of the classical variety, one of the best I have ever seen. So it is always fun to hear him. There are a couple of huge Baptist churches down here whose services are almost Broadway productions and very entertaining.

The image “http://www.evangelicaloutpost.com/images/colson.bmp” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Anyway, First Baptist is Chuck Colson's church, meaning he has attended there for 15 years. My impression is he does not speak at this church often if ever but he has a new book out (Bonnie bought 3) and I suppose they are helping him promote it. He is a good speaker. The theme was Christian ignorance and laziness, from what I could tell, which most of us can embrace either one or the other or both. There was plenty of guilt to go around and I took some home in a doggie bag for later.

Everglades City Sea Food Festival

Today we adventured to Everglades City and the Sea Food Fest/Redneck Convention. Miles of cars and loads people bent on eating. See anyone you know?
How about now?

Many kiosks with stuff we needed. When this guy rubbed the stick it made a loud bull frog noise and he kept time to the band in the background. I don't know if bull frogs answer or come to this sound and I don't know how to prepare frog legs so passed it up.

Found a pair of gloves for Gary but they weren't yellow, so knew he wouldn't ware them.

Not sure what to think.

Bonnie always has an eye out for mission outreach.

Liberal redneck representation.
Not something I would attend more than once each year but the people made it worth it.
